I changed the pattern slightly to a *K1, K1 through back loop, P1* repeat 4 times and end with a K1. The pattern looks simpler and it's definitely more narrow...which means I'll get more length out these small balls. The length of this first ball is 14 inch long and roughly 3 inch wide. Yes it will be a short scarf...or maybe just a headband? Still fun and it keeps my brain off the sweater of doom.
