I'm knitting with the baby cable rib now too. Mine are in orange, but not a bright peppy orange.
Also mine are in a solid, so when I stopped the pattern at the toes, well, I think it doesn't look so good. alas. and alack.

Since it's only my second pair, they are still top down. But my next ones.... toe up all the way!
I miss the sun. Those socks are so tropical.
