Day 59-365: Rush Hour

Going home in the evening can be a blur. Bodies just going... going... gotta go!!

Day 58-365: Looking Up

Taking a look at things in a different light. I was taking pictures of the piles of laundry that was before me when I laid back and snapped this shot instead.

Day 57-365: Decadent

One of the easiest recipes and ever so decadent. One cup butter melted with one cup sugar. Pour over separated layer of graham crackers in a jelly pan. Sprinkled with slivered almonds and bake for 8 min in a 375 pre-heated oven.

Day 56-365: Dusting

We got a couple of inches of snow over night and I love how each branch has a dusting of snow. It makes for a pretty morning commute.

Day 55-365: Pillow Talk

If you've got kids, then you've heard of Pillow Pets. They are adorable but the pressure during Christmas was a little much. BECAUSE. You know. You have to get the right ONE.

FYI: I was testing a new comments feature for the past couple of months and have come to the conclusion that I don't like it. It was also confirmed with a dear friend who didn't like it either. Thank you for bring this to my attention A:-)

Day 54-365: Academy

Tonight was Tae-kwon-do and from what I've heard the defense learned this evening was epic. Like that of a video game.

Day 53-365: Security

Rain, snow, slush, wind... he stands guard. A gentle nod says it all.

Size: Average Adult, 21 inch brim, 11 inch diameter at widest point, 8.5 inches from CO to top center point of tam.

Yarn: 2 skeins of Classic Elite Princess (150 yards / 50g ball)

Materials: 16 inch - US #5 (3.75mm) circular needle, 16 inch - US #7 (4.5mm) circular needle, Set of 4 - US #7 (4.5mm) double pointed needles to switch to when performing top decreases. Stitch marker, blunt tapestry needle.

Gauge: 22 stitches and 30 rows = 4 inch / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, on largest size needle unblocked. Every knitter’s gauge is unique, so be sure to check.

Day 52-365: Enter From Below

When catching the train to work I have to enter below the train overpass. I love the texture of brick and cement pillars.

Day 51-365: New Ideas

The colors just explode with life and I was inspiration to design a new pattern. I can't wait to see how this one will turn out.

Day 50-365: Photo Shoot

With the hat pattern written up the next step was pictures for the pattern. So, today I took advantage of the sun and a great yarn store location: The Fold.

Day 49-365: Powerful

This photo really expresses how I'm feeling today. Very powerful, strong and ready to take on the world.

Day 48-365: Kineering on the Train

I always wanted to take pictures of people I see often as they are apart of my daily commute. Even if we never say hi or know each other, they are apart of my life. So, I "kineered" the book reader on my train.

Day 47-365: Watch Your Step

I figured I'd take a different approach to perspective and head out on the fire-escape. Yep, dizzy again. Not Too Much afraid of heights, thank goodness.

Day 46-365: Banking

Was out and about doing some business today. The Chase bank building has these sides that slope to the ground and can make you a bit dizzy when you look up.

Day 45-365: Be Mine

Couldn't decide on which photo for today, so two in one. The mini cupcakes are from Sugar Bliss and they are wicked good.

Day 44-365: Sunlight

I loved how the afternoon sun was highlighting my office.

Day 43-365: Repeat

First mitten is complete and I'm on to the second. These are definitely a quick knit.

Day 42-365: Mental Break

My office has this long 50 foot hallway that connects the production offices together. There is always a putter and ball to hit when you need that mental break from staring at your computer screen.

Day 41-365: Ticket Time

It might look a bit dingy from all the weathered commuters tracking outside elements indoors, but Metra's train station is full of wow. It was newly renovated some years ago, but I still love the flow and light.

Day 40-365: Pedway

I emerge from below ground, called the Pedway System. You'd be amazed at the underground tunnel system in Chicago. Sure does help when temps are below freezing.

Day 39-365: Caution

You will find these signs in front of every store on every block in the city. I shake my head every time I see one. How does one walk down the street and avoid falling ice from skyscrapers??

Day 38-365: Celtic Mittens

Latest take-along project are a pair of Celtic Mittens. I've changed the pattern just a bit to have a thumb gusset which fits better on the hand. The numbers work out, so I'm giving it the Thumbs UP!

I gave you a quick sneak-peak in my Project 365 shot yesterday on a new finished object. The family came over for Super Bowl and I was happy to see the hat fit little Lo-Lo perfectly.



Soon after these pictures where shot he began to pull and tug the hat off. I forget how quick babies can be and how much they don't understand the need for a great hat photo!!



He is so freakin' adorable it just melts you. The one thing he has inherited is his mother's dimples. I think my camera would have melted too if I actually caught any glimpse of that smile;)

Day 37-365: Sweet Baby Cap

Family was over for the Super Bowl and I was able to snap a few pic's of the baby cap I knit fit little Lo-lo. I forgot how hard it is to get good shots of babies.

Day 36-365: Cupcake Wars

I totally forgot to pullout my camera on Saturday. But I do have a photo of what I was doing. I was elbows deep in preparations for a Super Bowl party. Dips, Stews and 48 cupcakes Oh-My.

Day 35-365: Under 55

One of the coolest things that I've discovered while working in Chicago is that there are places most people don't know about because it's not on street level. Under 55 Cafe is just that. It's a cafe under the building at 55 E. Monroe. This is a great place for variety, price and plus I love to brainstorm my knitting ideas here;)

Day 34-365: Snow Angel

Walking around a snow covered city, you can discover little things that make you smile. This was just one upon a whole row of them.

Day 33-365: Snow Day

Today is a snow day. The weatherman say that 20 inches of snow was dropped, but the wind blew drifts up to 4 feet tall.
