This is one of my projects for Tour de Fleece. It is a spinning challenge that takes place during the Tour de France every year. It's been a long time since I've played with fiber and I'm looking forward to it.
Bonus Photo:
Bonus fiber photo of 8.5 oz of superwash merino from a Sheep-2-Shoe kit. This will also be apart of the Tour de Fleece challenge.
This knitting video shows how to perform a Centered Double Decrease which is abbreviated CDD. I had a number of requests to reference this technique and seeing how it's a big part of the Woobie Blankets I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea.
The Lurie Garden has new stone pathways that I hadn't noticed before. Very much an upgrade from the dirt walkways. Nice little bonus glimpse of the Sears... oh no scratch that it's Willis Tower now.
... in a dish, how many pieces do you wish. I could hear the chant from far away and it gave me goosebumps. Fond memories of doing the same stuff as a shorty. sigh.
Today is our 8 year Anniversary and I quickly snapped this while being dropped off at the train. He doesn't care for his picture being taken, so thus the look of concern;)
It is terribly hot today. Hitting over 95 degrees. The girls tried there best, but I could tell my daughter was effected by it. Every two seconds wiping the sweat from her brow.
Received this years ago from a fellow co-worker and it's been hanging in my office ever since. On St. Pat's there is usually someone wearing this as a cape;)
Dozens of couples turned out for a mass ceremony in Chicago's Millennium Park, which was the first day same-sex couples in Illinois can have their civil unions officiated.
Just had to take the LONG way to work to enjoy the gorgeous morning. I was hoping to not have this guy in the shot... but he was talking (to himself??) in the reflection while holding up Canadian currency. Only in the city I tell ya.
