Befores, Afters and In Between

Just so you get some perspective...here is my Before picture. This is me with "Styled" hair...my head looks HUGE. My head is already on the large size, so I surly don't need a puffy-frizzed mess to make things worse. Yes, I love my hair, but come on.

One thing I wont change my hair color, until the gray has taken over and even then I wont admit to a dye-job;) The ends are split and so I headed off to Mario Tricoci.

"Oh, Anthony"...sigh..."You must do something with this dreaded mop." Some how I hear him speaking in a French accent... but was given a... slightly over weight Owen Wilson

He said "I'll take a little off here and there, shape this, shape that."

And this is me afterwards, now don't be scared off my my evil look..seriously it was the bright sunlight, not the plot to take scissors to Anthony's locks.

Do you see a difference? Come on...really? Do I look any different. I swear, I give up. In the past year I have been to the salon twice. Saw two different stylist. Both have done nothing to really style my hair that I don't already do my self and I don't have to the big bucks to do it either. Although, the scalp messages are what you truly go for, right ladies?

I know some of you have thought about it...I know I have. This poor knitter was injured by her own dpn needle. There isn't any blood, but it is quite disturbing.

Moving On...

I must have been having a brain fart yesterday, because something so easy was not working out for me. I figured that, since it was hard that I wasn't doing it right. Those stitches were super tight, to the point where I thought I would break the connection between the needle and cord. I brought my hoodie to the SnB last night (Thanks Becca) and they all confirmed I was doing it correctly. whew. I'm moving on and chalking it up to lack of sleep.

Oh, so much going on this weekend...Hair cut, The Fold trip with the SnB gals, Hubbies Birthday. I plan on taking tons of pictures, so look out! Oh, yeah...you'll get to see a before and after picture of my hair...it's completely gross right now and can't wait to chop it off!!

Picking Up Stitches?

So the one thing that I didn't think I would have a problem with is now my enemy. I bound off for the hood last night, and this morning on my commute to work I read the instructions...pick up 158 stitches along the left panel starting from the top hood. No problem. Easy. Done.

I picked up stitches oh so carefully. Easy. Count them up and what do you get, 80 stitches? HUH? Waz-dat?

Okay, I'm thinking...it's not so bad. I just have to pick up about double more. So, I see there are these bumps between the already picked up stitches. That must be where I pick up the extras from right?

I start picking up these bumps and gosh it is not easy and is definitely a problem. I don't even know if I'm picking up the right stitches and all my knowledge is flying right out the window.

I struggled to get most of these stitches on and can't imagine trying to purl these suckers once their all there. Am I on the right track? Any suggestion or advice would be greatly appreciated.

My BFF

I love Chicago. I love taking advantage of good weather in Chicago. Usually I'm taking pictures from outside my window, looking down onto the city. With weather this good, had to capture what my building looks like from the ground.

Hobby Lobby had my Boye size US 7 needle replacement...now I'm back in business. Best part is, they had a sale on all needles...HALF OFF!!!!

I've missed my Central Park Hoodie...it's like your best friend going on vacation. HAHAHAAAAA... my CPH is sooo my BFF! Hood is bound off, let the seeming begin.
