Last Saturday my friend Knitterary mentioned a sheep sheering event at the The Children's Farm... I couldn't say yes fast enough! So Miss Mac and I picked her up and off we went to the farm where it was a beautiful bright, but cold day. Lucky for us they had coffee to keep the chill away.
There were sheep. Posing for the camera and all!
And all kinds of animals to pet... like bunnies, cows, chickens, horses, roasters, ducklings and did I mention Sheep?
Then the pipers march the sheep to the sheering platform. Some celebratory music is played and the man with the mic enters the scene where he demonstrates the different methods of sheering.
Do you see that cutie on her rump getting her sheering on? Just too cute! Will totally be going again next Spring.

Thalia
I'm so thrilled to announce to you all my newest pattern: Thalia
See? I told you I was up to something! Don't you just love those flower buds?
This set is knit out of the Knit Picks Gloss Fingering weight yarn. It's a lovely yarn blend that is fantastic to work with. The name Thalia means to flourish or to bloom which is perfect for buds popping!

Favorite Things...
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens, brown paper packages filled up with yarn. These are a few of my favorite things!
When the Jerk bites, when the Boss stings, when I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don't feel so bad.
Thank Miss A:) for helping my through a rough week.

Thursday Madness
I was out early this morning taking pictures of a finished project. Yeah, I know... so mysterious. But.Seriously. I'll be able to show you something real soon.
It's been a while since I've taken a photo just to take a photo. Doing the whole 365 photo project was a little more intense an I ever new was possible. I want to take more pictures and showcase them some how because I feel like I could still learn more about my camera. I just don't like the pressure of feeling obligated to do it.
