Day 148-365: Yarn Love

Working on my latest addition to the Woobie series. The yarn is Cascade Superwash Sport and is just so soft. Perfect for little ones.

The pieces are coming together... only needs a face to bring it to life. Now if we could only come up with a name.

New design coming and it's in part because I promised a little girl I would make her something special. It's my own fault truly. Yet I like a challenge.

Hubby found this little guy in the yard while mowing the lawn. We figured it would be best to set him free in the forest preserve.

The day was lovely and had to get a new view of the walking path. Everything is so super charged with color.

Day 139-365: Superheroes

This sketch is taped to the back of my office door. It's been there for a couple of years now and I always smile when I look at it. When first learning to draw, my daughter had a way of making everyone look as though they were flying... kinda like Power Puff Girls.

Day 138-365: Remember Your Number

I don't know how many times I've parked at the train stations commuter lot and had to trek back because I forgot the number. It's kind of important when putting money in the pay booth.

I took part in a Mom & Me contest in their Ravelry group where you tell a craft related story centered around your family. So, I told a quick story about my mom.

"I remember my mother crocheting granny squares. We had tons of afghans to snuggle with back then… I even remember taking those afghans outside and making forts and teepees. I then had a moment of overwhelming dread because I also remember leaving those afghans outside. How could I have done that!! I immediately called my mother to apologies."

My entry was pulled randomly and they sent this awesome book my way. Plus extra goodies which is always sweet. I've been listening to podcasts for sometime now and I love listen on my way to work. The Knitmore Girls are a mother-daughter team that really have something special. Thanks Jasmin and Gigi!

Day 136-365: Sunny Day

What a change from the dreary rain all weekend. I love the pops of color from the window baskets and the shadow gives it some texture.

Day 135-365: Mold

Science Fair project is underway. I still don't understand why 6 year olds need to make a poster and oral presentation. Heck, the parents do all the work!

The weather turned in a matter of minutes. The fog rolled in from the lake and the buildings were just disappearing before my eyes. For a moment I thought I was in the middle of a Stephen King plot.

Took a little lunch break this afternoon and had to jot down some design features I'd like to incorporate into my next pattern.

Woobie Baby Bunny

The Woobie Baby Bunny has been released!



Has it been one of those horrible, no good, very bad days where you just want to move to Australia? Then perhaps you need a little Woobie to snuggle with.



Size: 14 inch x 14 inch square

Yarn: Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino (137 yd/125 m, 1.75oz/50g ball), White: 2 balls, Light Pink: 1 ball, Dark Pink: 1 ball

Yarn Alternative: Knit Picks Comfy Sport Yarn (136 yd/124 m, 1.75oz/50g ball), Ivory: 2 balls, Sea Foam: 1 ball, Marlin: 1 ball

Materials: 32 inch - US #3 (3.25mm) circular needle, Set of 5 - US #3 (3.25mm) double pointed needles. 8 Stitch markers, waste yarn, crochet hook, polyfill, embroidery floss and yarn needle.

Gauge: 26 sts and 34 rows = 4 inch [10 cm] in stockinette stitch. Every knitter’s gauge is unique, so be sure to check.

Day 130-365: Happiness

It's almost the end of the school year... and that means summer vacation. Ahhhhh, to be six again.

Day 129-365: Backyard View

Walked out back to see how things are blooming and love seeing the little buds glow in the setting sun.

Day 128-365: The Twins

Had the family out to the house for Mother's Day and to celebrate my husbands birthday. The twins Tyrin & Nanadia helped me with some photo taking in the backyard. It's amazing how quickly the kids have grown.

Day 127-365: A Day to Play

I took advantage of the daylight, even if it was overcast and shot some pic's of the Woobies. Hoping to quickly get the pattern released.

Day 126-365: With In

In an empty field, with acres of land all around there is THIS. The city has plans to develop the land into an outdoor mall, but there really is no evidence of this happening.

The message has changed over the year and I'm a little bummed that I didn't get pictures of those. This was the least interesting design that has been posted.

Day 125-365: Happy Birthday Hubby

Guess who didn't cross the T? Yep, that would be me. Oh-well, it was eaten so quickly that nobody noticed;) But now it's preserved forever.

Day 124-365: Can't Get Enough

Ran outside during dusk to grab that last minute photo with as much daylight as I could grab. The May flowers are a nice pick-me-up to the endless rain.

Day 123-365: Tunnel

This shot came out dark, but wanted to play around with silhouettes and found the florescent lighting was interesting.

Day 122-365: Play it Proud

There are always unique people in the city. Some can keep you entertained while you wait to cross the street.
