Day 90-365: Hitting the Trail

It was so bright and sunny that walking on the trail was the place to be. Getting the biker in the shot was a fluke, but love how he just popped into view.

Day 89-365: Comfy Corner

Found a great little corner that I could escape to... even for just a little bit. I liked seeing the repeating reflections put out by the double mirrors.

Day 88-365: Birdie Condo

This is a bird house that my husband and daughter built last fall. Although the name condo fits the description better then house because of the four little compartments.

Day 87-365: Sprung

Looking around the backyard I noticed that my tulips are popping up. I can't wait for spring to come. These low temps have been hard to bare.

Day 86-365: Curious

I would call him Curious George, but his name is Hunter. This is me trying to show him how to hold up two fingers to sport his age. He was giving it all he got!

Day 85-365: Belly

My dear friend is in her third trimester and I was blessed with taking some pregnancy shots.

Day 84-365: Peace

Out and about today and with winter still holding on as we approach April, I'm still wearing the winter gear. I liked the shadows on the sidewalk and figured it would look cool to toss a peace sign to everyone!

Day 83-365: Drops

I loved how the light was reflecting off the water drops. Wish I had a macro lens to get the full effect.

Day 82-365: Jewelers Row

Made a short one block trip to the post office in the Jewelers Center. Floor after floor of diamonds and jewels. Quite a place to see all kinds of goodies.

Day 81-365: Connunity Center

Got the opportunity to take a tour of the new Community Center. Now it's all about getting the marketing materials out in time for their open house. No pressure.

Day 80-365: Flamingo

This sculpture near the federal building is 53 feet tall and is as old as me.

Day 79-365: Woobie

I'd like to introduce you to something that has been keep me up nights... This is my Woobie Baby Bunny. Hoping to have this pattern go live very soon. Off to find test knitters.

Day 78-365: Sheep's Clothing

Took a trip to Indiana today to visit a knitting store called Sheep's Clothing. Cute shop, friendly staff and a gourmet cupcake shop just next door. Plus the sign is just adorable!

Day 77-365: Miss Babs Swap

These are 20 mini balls of Miss Babs yarn for a Blanket Mania Swap on Ravelry. I mail out 20 of the same and I get back 20 miscellaneous colors.

Day 76-365: Defense

One of 4 carvings along the Chicago Riverwalk.

Southwest Tower: Defense, By - Henry Hering (Unveiled: 1928)

Defense portrays the Fort Dearborn Massacre of August 15, 1812, during the war of 1812. Over 50 people were killed by Potawatomi warriors allied with British as they evacuated Fort Dearborn and marched towards Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Day 75-365: M-O-O-N, that Spells Moon

The full moon is on it's way, so you know what that means;)

Day 74-365: One of Those Days

Nauseous, light sensitivity and throbbing temples are the symptoms for today. Not Good - only cure is more sleep.

Day 73-365: Sheep Mug

New sheep mug has arrived and I'm putting it to good use. I wont replace the cabled knitting mug I broke, but it will do;)

Day 72-365: Creatures

Hubby painting some tight details on his next creature.

Day 71-365: Punky

Girls day out lead to buying some new shoes and clothes.... yeah, she can be girly but still a tomboy.

Day 70-365: Fine & Rare

Taking a walk during lunch landed me in the Printers Row section of Chicago. This area is considered historic and long ago was the printing and publishing buildings.

Day 69-365: Pretty Colors

The sunset tonight was full of so many colors and with each minute it was changing. These moments make me daydream.

Day 68-365: Coffee Break

There are some work days that I just can't step away from the computer, but when I do get a chance... It's usually to the comfy soft at the coffee shop.

Day 67-365: Inspired by my Baby

This is the latest knit design I'm working on right now and I can't knit fast enough. It's exciting to see this stuff unfold before my eyes. My inspiration is my daughter, who will be 7 come August. Not a baby anymore, but she will Always be my Baby.

Day 66-365: Treasures

I think I'm very lucky working in Chicago. The city surprises me every day. These medallions are on each of the elevator doors where my dentist is located.

Day 65-365: Doom Wheel

Today was all about taking pictures for my husbands hobby: Warhammer. He spend over 3 weeks painting this piece and was excited to show this off to his buddies.

Day 64-365: What A Day!

Was out at the mall today for a quick moment and while I was sitting on the bench waiting on my hubby, this little boy captured my attention. It looks like he's just had enough, but really he was peaking down the crack.

Day 63-365: Looking Up

This is just one of many unique light fixtures in my office building. If you don't take time to look around you'll miss these special details.

Day 62-365: New Specs

After loosing her first pair, we finally got her replacements. The frames are purple with an iridized blue tint on the inside.

Day 61-365: Connected

One of the great things about Chicago is the transportation. You've got to love being steps away from going anywhere in the city!

Day 60-365: Going Home During Daylight

The day has finally come where I can come home and there still is daylight. This makes my day not seem so long... even with snow in the forecast.
